How often does Invelo update the DNC flag?

Understand when and how Invelo checks the Do Not Call (DNC) status on your property records

Invelo helps you stay compliant with telemarketing laws by checking the Do Not Call (DNC) status of phone numbers you skip trace. However, it's important to note that Invelo does not continuously monitor or refresh the DNC flag across all property records. Instead, the DNC status is verified only at the time of skip tracing.

When is the DNC flag updated?

The DNC flag is updated immediately when you skip trace a record. During the skip trace process, Invelo checks the returned phone numbers against the national Do Not Call list. If a number is listed, it will be flagged accordingly in your account.

Why doesn't Invelo update it regularly?

To ensure the most accurate and current data, DNC screening is tied directly to the skip trace process. Since phone numbers can change and regulations are regularly updated, checking DNC status at the time of skip tracing ensures you’re working with the latest available information. 

How can I check if a number is on the DNC list?

After you skip trace a property, you can view the DNC status of each phone number returned directly in the property record. If a number is on the DNC list, it will be clearly flagged so you can avoid contacting it through prohibited channels.

  • Skip trace before outreach: Always make sure to skip trace records before calling to ensure you’re using up-to-date contact and DNC information.

  • Use filters to remove DNC contacts: Leverage Invelo's filtering tools to automatically remove contacts with DNC flags from your lists. This helps you stay compliant and focus your outreach efforts on the right leads—saving time and reducing risk.
  • Respect the DNC flag: Avoid calling numbers that are flagged as DNC to stay compliant with federal and state regulations.

  • Re-skip trace if needed: If a significant amount of time has passed since the original skip trace, consider re-skip tracing to ensure your data is still accurate.
