Unenrolling a record from a campaign

Remove individual contacts or properties from a campaign with just a few clicks.

If a contact or property in your campaign shouldn’t receive further outreach—whether they opted out, no longer match your criteria, or you want to remove them for any other reason—you can manually unenroll them from the campaign at any time. This gives you precise control over who continues receiving marketing sequences.

What happens when you unenroll a record

When you unenroll a record from a campaign:

  • Future outreach stops immediately — the record will not receive any upcoming email, SMS, or direct mail sequences that haven’t started processing yet.

  • In‑progress sequences may still complete — if a direct mail batch or other outreach is already processing, that send will still complete even after unenrollment.

  • The record stays in your database — unenrolling doesn’t delete the record; it simply stops it from progressing in that specific campaign.

Steps to manually unenroll a record

  1. Navigate to the Campaigns tab in your Invelo dashboard.

Tips and best practices

  • Use search and filters in the Enrollments tab to quickly find specific records, especially in large campaigns.

  • Unenroll if a contact opts out of communication — keeping campaigns compliant and respectful improves deliverability and engagement.

  • Combine with status tracking — check the status of a record’s outreach before unenrolling so you know what’s still in process.

📌 Important Note
If the direct mail sequence for a record is already processing, the outreach for that specific sequence will still be completed even after unenrollment. Unenrolling only stops the record from receiving any future sequences that haven't started processing yet.

Once unenrolled, the record will no longer receive any new outreach from that campaign, giving you greater flexibility and control over your marketing efforts.
