Importing Notes into Invelo

Learn how to import notes from a CSV file and attach them to your records in Invelo.

You can easily import your property or contact notes into Invelo using a CSV file. This allows you to transfer your existing notes from another platform or a spreadsheet into your Invelo account quickly.

Important Reminder

Currently, Invelo supports importing one note column at a time. If you have multiple note fields (for example, "Note 1," "Note 2," and "Note 3"), you’ll need to upload each note column separately.

How to Import Notes

  1. Prepare your CSV file

    • Ensure your file includes the records (properties or contacts) you want to update.

    • Include a single Notes column containing the note you want to import.

    • For property records, you’ll need to include at least the address, city, state, and ZIP code.

    • For contact records, make sure to include the first and last name (or company name) and at least one contact detail — such as a phone number, email, or mailing address — so the note can be properly linked to the correct record.

  2. Go to the Import Page

    • In your Invelo dashboard, navigate to → Import Data.

    • Click Upload CSV.

    • Choose the Import Type — Properties or Contacts.

  3. Map Your Fields

    • After uploading your CSV, you’ll be asked to match your CSV columns to Invelo fields.

    • Map your Notes column to the Notes field in Invelo.

  4. Review and Confirm

    • Double-check that your fields are mapped correctly and click Preview.

    • Preview your data up to the first 20 rows with Invelo fields displayed and click Next once confirmed.

    • Assign to Record owner, lists, or tags as needed.
  5. Repeat (if needed)

    • If you have additional note columns, repeat the process for each one.
