How to take action on individual contacts to update data, automate workflows, and drive outreach
Invelo allows you to take direct actions on each contact to keep your database accurate, automate marketing, and maintain outreach efficiency. From running a skip trace to enrolling contacts in campaigns or workflows, you can manage contacts proactively rather than just viewing their information.
This article explains the main contact actions available and how to use them effectively.
Key Contact Actions
1. Skip Trace
Skip Tracing is an action that updates a contact’s information to ensure it is accurate and current.
-
Click the Skip Trace button in the contact record.
-
Invelo will retrieve the latest phone numbers, emails, mailing addresses, and age (if available).
-
Updated contact information appears immediately in the record, including:
-
Phone status (correct, wrong, DNC, no answer)
-
Email status (correct, wrong, no answer)
-
Mailing address status (deliverable, undeliverable, wrong, returned mail)
-
Age
-
Why it matters: Skip tracing reduces wasted marketing spend, improves campaign effectiveness, and ensures your outreach reaches the right person.
2. Enroll a Contact in a Campaign
Campaign enrollment is an action that adds the contact to a structured outreach campaign.
-
Click Manage
-
Select Enroll in Campaign in the contact record.
-
Select the desired campaign.

Target the right contacts with email, text, call, or mail campaigns

-
Choose the workflow to apply.
-
Confirm enrollment.
Benefits of using workflows:
-
Saves time by automating repetitive tasks

4. Delete Contact
Deleting a contact is a final action for removing irrelevant or outdated records.
-
Click Manage.
-
Select Delete Contact.

Confirm deletion.
Important: This is permanent and will remove all associated marketing history and data. Use this action only when necessary to maintain a clean database.
