Reviewing Cost Metrics in Marketing Performance

Understand how your marketing dollars are being spent and how well they’re working

Invelo’s Cost Metrics in the Marketing Performance section offer a detailed breakdown of your marketing expenses across different channels. These insights allow you to evaluate the cost-efficiency of your campaigns and understand the return on your investment.

What Cost Metrics are included?

Invelo tracks key cost indicators to help you assess the financial performance of each marketing channel—both in-app campaigns and external lead sources. These include:

  • Cost per Record Sent – The average cost of sending one marketing message or touchpoint.

  • Cost per Lead – How much you spend, on average, to generate a single lead.

  • Cost per Deal – The total marketing cost required to close one deal.

  • Cost per Lost Lead – The average cost associated with prospects who did not convert or were disqualified.

Why Cost Metrics matter

Tracking these metrics enables you to:

  • Compare marketing channels by cost-efficiency

  • Identify high-spend, low-return efforts that may need adjustment

  • Double down on the most profitable marketing tactics

  • Make smarter budgeting decisions for future campaigns

For example, if your direct mail campaign has a high cost per lead but low deal conversion, it may be time to reassess messaging, targeting, or timing.

Where to Find It

Go to the Marketing Performance section in your Marketing Analytics dashboard. You’ll find a cost breakdown for each channel, making it easy to spot trends and evaluate campaign efficiency at a glance.
