Tracking contact details in Invelo

How key contact fields help you track origin, activity, and marketing engagement

Each contact record in Invelo contains important details that tell the story of where a lead came from, who added it, how recently it’s been worked, and how much marketing it has received. These fields give you better visibility into your database, your team’s activity, and your marketing performance.

This article breaks down the most important contact detail fields and explains how they help you make smarter decisions inside your CRM.

Why contact details matter

Accurate contact details allow you to:

  • Track marketing sources and performance

  • Monitor team accountability

  • Identify stale leads

  • Measure outreach volume

  • Maintain clean and reliable data

When used properly, these fields help you prioritize follow-ups, optimize campaigns, and protect your marketing budget.

Contact information fields

Below are the primary contact detail fields you’ll see inside a contact record.

Age

The Age field reflects the contact’s age.

This information may come from:

  • Skip tracing results

  • Manual user input

This provides additional context that may help with segmentation and outreach strategies.

Created date

The Created Date shows when the contact was first created in Invelo.

You can use this to:

  • Filter newly added contacts

  • Track database growth

  • Identify older records that may need re-engagement

This field is automatically generated and cannot be edited.

Created by

The Created By field identifies which user on your account created the contact record.

This helps with:

  • Team accountability

  • Performance tracking

  • Understanding who initiated the lead entry

Creator type

Creator Type shows how the contact entered Invelo.

Examples include:

  • List Builder

  • User Import (CSV upload)

  • Auto-Add

  • Other system-generated methods

This allows you to filter contacts by how they were imported into your system.

Source

The Source field tells you where the lead originally came from.

For example:

  • If imported from Invelo’s List Builder, the source will appear as Invelo.

  • If manually added from a Facebook lead form, you can change the source to Facebook.

Unlike Creator Type, the Source field can be manually edited to reflect your true marketing channel.

Keeping this accurate allows you to measure which marketing channels are generating the best results.

Last skip traced

The Last Skip Traced field shows the most recent date the contact was skip traced.

This helps you determine:

  • How fresh the contact data is

  • When it may be time to refresh phone numbers or emails

If blank, the contact may not have been skip traced yet.

Last contacted

The Last contacted field displays the most recent outreach attempt made to the contact.

This includes:

  • Calls

  • Texts

  • Emails

  • Logged communication activities

Use this to prioritize follow-ups and avoid over-contacting.

Marketing activity fields

In addition to general contact details, Invelo tracks how much marketing has been sent to each contact. This gives you visibility into outreach volume and campaign exposure.

Number of direct mail sent

This field shows how many direct mail pieces have been sent to the contact.

Tracking this helps you:

  • Avoid oversending mail

  • Monitor campaign frequency

  • Evaluate direct mail strategy effectiveness

Number of marketing emails sent

This displays the total number of marketing emails sent to the contact.

This helps you:

  • Monitor email campaign exposure

  • Identify highly marketed contacts

  • Prevent over-emailing

Number of marketing texts sent

This field tracks how many marketing text messages have been sent to the contact.

This allows you to:

  • Monitor SMS campaign frequency

  • Avoid overwhelming prospects

  • Maintain healthy engagement rates

Best Practices

To get the most value from these contact details:

  • Keep the Source field accurate when adding leads manually

  • Regularly review Last Contacted to prioritize outreach

  • Monitor Last Skip Traced to keep data fresh

  • Track marketing counts to prevent overspending or over-contacting

Together, these fields provide a complete overview of a contact’s journey from creation to marketing exposure.

Maintaining accurate contact details ensures better reporting, smarter segmentation, and more effective outreach inside Invelo.
