Learn why your direct mail campaign is charged before the send date
To ensure your direct mail campaigns go out on time, Invelo begins processing your marketing batches two (2) days before your selected send date. This article explains what happens during processing, when you’re charged, and what it means for cancellations.
When does my direct mail batch get charged?
Direct mail marketing batches begin processing and charging two working days before the send date you selected.
For example:
If your send date is March 10, your batch will begin processing and your card will be charged on March 8. If March 8 falls on a Saturday, your batch will begin processing and your card will be charged on March 7, Friday.
This advance processing ensures:

Marketing pieces are properly generated

Mail files are finalized
-
Printing and fulfillment stay on schedule

Your campaign is delivered on time
What happens when the status changes to processing?
Once your marketing batch status changes to Processing, this means:

Your marketing materials have already been generated

The print files have been created
-
The order has entered the fulfillment stage

Your payment has been successfully charged
At this stage, the batch can no longer be canceled.
Because the mail pieces have already been created and prepared for production, we are unable to stop, edit, or refund the order once it enters processing.
Important reminders before your send date
To avoid unwanted charges or campaigns going out unintentionally:

Review your mail batch details before the processing date

Cancel or pause the batch before it enters Processing status if needed
Best practice recommendation
We recommend setting a calendar reminder for three (3) days before your send date to:

Double-check your list

Confirm your mail design

Review your budget

Make any final adjustments
This gives you enough time to make changes before billing and production begin.
