Understanding Lead pipeline flow

Gain insights into how leads move through your pipeline based on lead temperature and performance metrics

In Invelo, your pipeline is more than just a list—it's a dynamic tool designed to help you visualize and manage how leads are progressing through your acquisition process. By tracking lead movement by temperature—Hot, Warm, and Cold—you can quickly identify where your opportunities stand and make data-driven decisions to improve performance. You also have access to powerful comparisons across key metrics like lead volume, appointments, offers, conversion rates, pipeline speed, and deal profit.

How Lead Temperature Works

Leads are categorized by temperature to help you prioritize outreach and follow-ups:

  • Hot – Leads showing strong engagement or high intent to sell.

  • Warm – Leads with some interest or partial engagement.

  • Cold – Leads that are unresponsive or showing low interest.

  • Unknown – Leads that have insufficient data to determine engagement level. These should be evaluated or contacted to identify potential.

These temperature tags are updated automatically based on lead activity and engagement history, but you can also adjust them manually if needed. Using lead temperatures effectively allows you to segment your pipeline and focus your efforts where they matter most.

Tracking Pipeline Movement

As leads move through your pipeline stages—such as New, Contacted, Appointment Set, Offer Made, and Under Contract—Invelo provides real-time visibility into how those leads are performing at each stage.

Key metrics available for tracking pipeline flow include:

  • Pipeline Metrics
Quickly view the total number of leads, appointments, offers, and closed deals—grouped by lead temperature (Hot, Warm, Cold, and Unknown). This allows you to gauge activity levels and performance across different lead categories, helping you identify where your pipeline is thriving or needs more attention.

  • Pipeline Velocity
Understand how efficiently leads are moving through your pipeline. Pipeline velocity shows the average number of days it takes for a lead to go from New to Closed. Use this metric to assess the speed of your sales process and uncover areas where you can improve responsiveness or streamline follow-up.

  • Conversion Rates
Monitor how well your pipeline is converting leads through each stage. View the percentage of leads that move from initial contact to appointment, offer, and ultimately to a closed deal. This helps you identify strong points in your process—as well as where leads may be stalling or dropping off.

Making the Most of Your Pipeline Insights

By using these insights, you can:

  • Prioritize your time and marketing spend on high-potential leads.

  • Identify which lead temperatures or stages need additional nurturing.

  • Refine your marketing and outreach strategies based on conversion data.

  • Improve your forecasting and close rates with real-time analytics.
