Understanding the Sold, Expired, and Off Market property badges
Learn when each property status badge appears in Invelo and how long it remains visible
Property status badges in Invelo help investors quickly understand the most recent market activity for a property. These badges indicate whether a property was recently sold, had a failed sale, or is currently not listed on the market. Knowing how long each badge appears can help you better interpret property data and make informed marketing decisions.
Property Status Badges Explained
Invelo displays different badges on property records based on the most recent listing or sales activity. The most common badges you may see are Sold, Expired, and Off Market.
Sold Badge
A property will display the Sold badge if it was successfully sold within the last 6 months.
This badge helps investors quickly identify properties that recently changed ownership, which can be useful for understanding local market activity or identifying potential follow-up opportunities.
Example:
-
Property sold on February 11, 2026
-
The Sold badge will remain visible until approximately August 11, 2026 (6 months after the sale date).
-
After this period, the property will no longer show the Sold badge and will instead display Off Market.
Expired Badge
The Expired badge appears when a property listing was removed from the market without being sold.
This badge will remain visible for 3 months after the listing expires or fails.
After the 3-month period passes, the property will automatically revert to Off Market status.
Off Market Badge
A property will show the Off Market badge when it is not currently listed for sale and does not meet the timeframe requirements for the Sold or Expired badges.
This means:
-
The property has not been sold in the last 6 months, and
-
It has not had a listing expire in the last 3 months.
Quick summary
| Badge | When It Appears | How Long It Shows |
|---|---|---|
| Sold | Property sold successfully | 6 months after the sale date |
| Expired | Listing expired or failed | 3 months after expiration |
| Off Market | Property is not actively listed and no recent sale/expiration | Default status |
Understanding these badge timelines can help you better evaluate property activity and determine whether a record may still present an opportunity for outreach or follow-up.
