Understanding how smrtPhone numbers display call and SMS activity in Invelo
When managing multiple smrtPhone numbers in your Invelo account, it's important to know how communication logs are organized. To avoid confusion and ensure accuracy, each phone number has its own dedicated view within the Communications tab. This prevents call and SMS activity from different numbers from mixing together.
Selecting the correct phone number
When you open the Communications tab in your inbox, you’ll first need to select the specific smrtPhone number you want to review. Since each number is treated independently, the inbox displays only the communication logs associated with the phone number you selected.
Why communication logs don’t mix
Communication logs—such as call records and SMS conversations—are not shared across phone numbers. For example:
-
Messages or calls made from (111) 111-1111 will only appear in that number’s inbox.
-
These logs will not show up under (222) 222-2222, and vice versa.
This separation is intentional and helps ensure:
-
Clarity: Each phone number shows only its own activity.
-
Organization: Users handling multiple numbers can easily manage communications without overlap.
-
Accuracy: Prevents conversations from mixing, which could otherwise cause confusion or miscommunication.
Recommended workflow
-
Always verify the phone number you are viewing at the top of your Communications tab.
-
If you can’t find a specific call or SMS, switch to another smrtPhone number to check its logs.
-
For teams managing multiple lines, consider labeling or documenting number usage to keep communication workflows streamlined.
This design helps maintain a clean and organized inbox experience, especially for users managing multiple communication channels.
