FAQs
Why does my data look different from another platform?
If you notice that data in Invelo looks different from what you see on other platforms, don’t worry — this is completely normal.
Almost all major real estate data providers pull from the same national data aggregators, which source property information from county assessors, MLS records, and public filings. The differences come down to how often data is updated, what sources are prioritized, and how the information is displayed.
Common Reasons for Data Differences
1. Timing of Updates
Each platform updates on its own schedule. Some rely heavily on assessor data, which can take 4–6 months to reflect a recent sale. Invelo, however, updates daily and also incorporates MLS and land record data for faster, more accurate property updates.
2. Data Source Priorities
A provider that pulls primarily from assessors may show older data, while another that uses MLS or deed recordings will show newer activity. Invelo blends multiple data sources to ensure the most current information possible.
3. Data Presentation and Normalization
Even when the underlying data is the same, it may appear differently depending on how it’s formatted or filtered. Invelo standardizes and normalizes property data so it’s easier to search, sort, and act on.
Key Takeaway
The core data across platforms is largely identical — the difference lies in update speed and usability. Invelo ensures you get the freshest, most accurate version of that data with tools designed to make it more actionable for investors.
