Workflow Action: Send Direct Mail

Automate Postcard Delivery as Part of Your Lead Nurture Process

With the Send Direct Mail workflow action, you can automatically send a postcard to a lead or deal the moment they meet specific criteria. Unlike standard campaigns, this action lets you send mail to both leads and deals, and each mail piece is sent out immediately — no batching, no delays.

What Is It?

This action sends a physical postcard to the contact’s mailing address using your selected Direct Mail template. Once the workflow is triggered, the mail piece is queued and sent — no manual steps required.

How to Use

  1. In the Workflow Editor, click + Add Action.

  2. Choose “Send Direct Mail.”

  3. Select a Direct Mail Template from your saved designs.

  4. Choose the Postage Type (e.g., First-Class or Standard).

  5. Select an existing Sender Profile, or create a new one.

  6. Review and agree to the terms and conditions.

  7. Click Confirm to finalize the action.

Tip: Make sure your records have a valid mailing address before sending!

Credit Usage and Billing

  • Each mail piece is charged individually based on your subscription’s direct mail rate.

  • Charges apply immediately upon processing, and you can view your charges in the Billing section.

  • To avoid service interruptions, consider turning on automatic funding in your billing settings

Key Details

  • Direct Mail sent via workflows is sent immediately, not in batches.

  • This action can be used with leads or deals, unlike regular direct mail campaigns.

  • If a record doesn’t have a valid mailing address, the mail will not be sent.

📌 Example Use Cases

  • When a lead is added to the Absentee Owners list, automatically send a postcard introducing your offer.

  • If a record status changes to “In Progress”, trigger a follow-up mailer to stay top-of-mind.

  • When a lead hasn't responded after 14 days (last updated), queue a “Reminder” postcard with a new call to action.
