Automate real-time SMS outreach to Leads, Deals, and Prospects

The Send Text Message action in Workflows allows you to automatically send a text message to a contact based on specific triggers you define — such as when a lead status changes or a deal stage is updated.

smrtPhone Integration Required

To enable text messaging within workflows, your smrtPhone account must be connected to Invelo. If you haven’t set this up yet, follow the steps in our smrtPhone Integration Guide to get started.

Without this integration, the Send Text Message action will not be available in your workflow options.

Why Use Workflow-Based Text Messages?

Unlike regular Marketing Campaigns, which are limited to sending messages only to Prospects, the Send Text Message workflow action offers more flexibility:

• ✅ Messages are sent automatically when your chosen workflow trigger occurs.

• ✅ Perfect for real-time communication (e.g., when a lead becomes hot or a deal hits a key stage).

🛠️ How to Set Up

1. Navigate to Workflows in your Invelo dashboard.

2. Create a new workflow or edit an existing one.

3. Add a trigger (e.g., “Lead temperature changes to Hot”).

4. Click + Add Action and select Send Text Message.

5. Choose from your existing Sender Profile or create a new one.

6. Compose your message and insert dynamic fields (like contact name or property address).

7. Save your workflow.

Compliance Tip

Always ensure you have the proper consent to text your contacts. smrtPhone helps you manage opt-in status, but it's your responsibility to follow compliance rules for SMS marketing.

Example Use Cases

• Automatically notify a Lead when their temperature changes to "Hot."

• Send a follow-up message when a Deal enters a specific pipeline stage.

• Remind a contact about a scheduled appointment or call.
