Automatically keep your property records clean, consistent, and up to date.
The Update Property action in your workflow automation enables you to automatically update key fields within a property record. This action is designed to streamline your processes and ensure your records stay accurate and up to date—without manual intervention.
Fields You Can Update
Here are the fields you can automatically update using the Update Property action:
1. Lifecycle Stage and Pipeline
-
Automatically move records to a new lifecycle stage (e.g., Prospects → Leads).
-
Update the pipeline the record belongs to if your workflows span across different stages of your sales or acquisition funnel.
2. Record Status
-
Change the status of a property (e.g., from “New” to “In Progress” or “Attempted to contact”).
3. Lost and Lost Reason
-
Mark a record as lost and optionally capture the reason (e.g., “Couldn't find buyer” or “Listed on the MLS”).
- You can also reopen a previously lost record automatically if the lead becomes active again or meets certain workflow conditions, giving it another chance in your pipeline.
4. Source
-
Update the lead source (e.g., “Website,” “Driving for Dollars”) to keep attribution data accurate.
- Optionally, you can also clear the source field entirely if it no longer applies or needs to be reset.
5. Record Owner
-
Reassign the record to a different team member automatically, based on routing rules or changes in pipeline stage.
-
You also have the option to unassign the record owner—helpful for recycling leads, sending records back into a general pool, or pausing follow-up.
6. Custom Fields
-
Modify your own custom fields set on the property record—great for niche workflows or tracking specific business metrics.
Example Use Cases
-
Lead Routing: When a new lead comes in with a certain tag or area, automatically assign it to the correct team member.
-
Pipeline Progression: Move a record to the next lifecycle stage and update the status to "Working" when a task is completed.
-
Disqualification: Mark a record as lost and assign a lost reason if the lead has not responded after multiple touchpoints.

Use the Update Property action alongside Delays, Conditions, and Branching Logic to create powerful automations that adapt to your unique business processes.
