Migrating to Invelo 2.0: A Step-by-Step Guide for Existing Customers - available March 11, 2025

Overview

If you are an Invelo customer, you will be required to migrate to Invelo 2.0 by April 1, 2025. You have two options to transition to Invelo 2.0:

  1. Auto-Migrate (Recommended) – Seamlessly transition your data with our automated migration process.
  2. Start Fresh – Manually migrate your data and set up your new Invelo 2.0 account.

This guide will walk you through each option and help you complete your migration smoothly. If you need support through this process, please reach out to your Invelo CSM or contact us at: support@inveloapp.com


Option 1: Auto-Migration (Recommended)

For a seamless transition, we recommend auto-migration, which automatically moves your data from Invelo 1.0 to Invelo 2.0. 

Important Details

  • Auto-migration is only available for existing customers and must be triggered by the account owner.
  • This process can only be triggered once.
  • If you've already created an Invelo 2.0 account, any existing data and activity in 2.0 will be lost upon migration.
  • What Won’t Migrate & Needs to Be Recreated in Invelo 2.0:
    • Filters
    • Marketing campaigns & settings
    • Workflows
    • Integrations
    ❌ Activity history cannot be migrated or manually added. 

Integration Updates

  • Available in Invelo 2.0: smrtPhone & SMTP/IMAP Email Service
  • Coming later this year: Aircall & Zapier
  • Not available in 2.0: Sakari & SendGrid

⚠️ Important: You can still access your Invelo 1.0 account until April 1st to manually recreate your filters, campaigns, and workflows.

Option 2: Start Fresh

If you choose to start fresh, you will need to manually export your data from Invelo 1.0 and import it into Invelo 2.0.

What You Need to Know

  • Data You Can Export & Import: Properties & contacts
  • Data Not Included in Exports: Notes, tasks, and custom fields
    • These items are all available with auto-migration
  • What Needs to Be Recreated Manually:
    • Filters
    • Marketing campaigns & marketing settings
    • Workflows
    • Integrations

⚠️ Important: If you choose this option, you must cancel your Invelo 1.0 subscription or contact us at support@inveloapp.com to avoid continued billing.


Migrating Your Team Members (prompted during auto-migration process)

If you have existing team members, you can select which users to bring over to Invelo 2.0.

Steps to Migrate Users

  1. Choose Your Team Members – Select the users you want to migrate. Only selected users will be transferred.
  2. Users Must Accept Invitations – Each team member will receive an invitation to join Invelo 2.0 and must accept to gain access.
  3. New Role Assignments – Custom roles are no longer available with Invelo 2.0. Instead, assign one of these new roles:
Role Permissions
Admin Full access to all features and settings (except billing & wallet funding).
Manager Can oversee workflows and operations but cannot manage billing, payments, users, or integrations.
Regular User Can perform general bulk actions, manage contacts, view analytics, and handle assigned property records & tasks.
Limited User Can only manage contacts.

 


Reviewing Your Account & Selecting a Plan (prompted during auto-migration process)

Before starting your auto-migration, you will need to review your Invelo 1.0 account details and select a plan. The following are details of what you will review and select during the auto-migration process. 

Scenario 1: You Do Not Have an Invelo 2.0 Account (recommended)

  • Before migrating, you will review your Invelo 1.0 account details and choose the plan that fits your needs.
  • Plan Selection Notice:
    • Plans that exceed your current record limits will be greyed out. You will need to reduce your record count in Invelo 1.0 to select a lower plan.
⚠️ Important details:
    • Auto-migration can only be triggered once.
    • Invelo 1.0 will be available until April 1st for reference.
    • Any remaining data in Invelo 1.0 will not transfer after migration.
    • You can manually export and import data at any time.

Scenario 2: You Already Have an Invelo 2.0 Account

Before migrating, you will review your Invelo 1.0 account details
  • You will not select a plan here because you have already done so when you signed up for Invelo 2.0.

🚀 We recommend all existing users use auto-migration for the smoothest transition!


Migration in Progress (prompted during auto-migration process)

Once migration starts, you will see a Migration Processing screen.

What to Expect During Migration in Progress

  • Access is temporarily unavailable – You won’t be able to use Invelo 1.0 or 2.0 during migration.
  • You can close this window – Migration will continue running in the background.
  • Processing time varies – The duration depends on the size of your account.
  • You’ll receive an email when migration is complete and ready to log in.

 Final Steps After Migration: Welcome to Invelo 2.0!

Once your migration is complete, you will receive an email with the subject: "Your Invelo 2.0 Migration is Complete – Log In Now!"

This email will list the next steps to login to your Invelo 2.0 account. After you login, you will need to: 

  • Recreate necessary setup for:
    • Filters
    • Marketing campaigns & marketing settings
    • Workflows
    • Integrations
  • Invite your team – If you migrated users, they need to accept new invitations.
  • Visit our Help Desk – Explore our help desk articles for Invelo 2.0. for guidance. These will all be updated on launch day. 

⚠️ Important Reminder:

  • Invelo 1.0 is available until April 1st for reference only.
  • Any changes made in 1.0 will NOT sync with Invelo 2.0 after auto-migration.
  • You can still export and manually import old data anytime.
