Set up SMTP integration

How to integrate your Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo email to send marketing to prospects and leads

With Invelo, you can send email marketing to prospects and leads by integrating your email client. The following email clients are supported:

  • Gmail (including G Suite)

  • Outlook

  • Yahoo

  • SendGrid

Integrate Gmail

  1. Go to your Google Account.

  2. Click the Security tab.

  3. Under the Signing in to Google section, click App Passwords.

    Note: You may need to sign in. If you don’t see this option, it might be because:

    • 2-Step Verification is not set up for your account.

    • 2-Step Verification is only set up for security keys.

    • Your account is through work, school, or another organization.

    • You turned on Advanced Protection.

    • You can also search 'App Passwords' in your Google Account in the top search bar.

    • If none of these apply and you still don't see the option, type in "App Passwords" in the search bar at the top of the Google Account screen, click on it when it appears, then follow the steps below.

  4. Click the Select App dropdown menu and select the Mail.

  5. Click the Select Device dropdown menu and select the device you wish to use to verify the app you selected.

  6. Click Generate.

  7. Copy the 16-character App Password shown in the yellow bar to the App Password field in Invelo.

  8. Click Done.

Gmail Rules

Gmail has a per-message and per-day sending limit.

  • 100 recipient limit per message sent via SMTP (by POP or IMAP users) or the Gmail API. Includes

    • email addresses listed in the To, Cc, and Bcc fields

    • emails sent using smtp-relay.gmail.com or smtp.gmail.com

  • 2,000 message maximum per day or

    • 1,500 maximum for multi-send

    • 500 maximum for trial accounts


Integrate Outlook

  1. Go to Microsoft Security Basics and sign in to your Microsoft account.

  2. Click Advanced security options.

  3. Turn on Two-step verification. (The App passwords section will not appear unless Two-step verification is turned on.)

  4. Under App passwords, click Create a new app password.

  5. Copy the provided App password to the App Password field in Invelo.

  6. Click Add Integration.

Outlook Rules

Outlook as a sending limit of 30 messages per minute.


Integrate Yahoo

  1. Go to Yahoo Account Security and sign in to your Yahoo account.

  2. Click Generate app password or Generate and manage app passwords.

  3. Enter your app's name in the field.

  4. Click Generate password.

  5. Follow the instructions below the app password.

  6. Click Done.

Yahoo Rules

Yahoo has a sending limit of 100 emails/recipients per hour. There's also an SMTP limit of 10 MB per message for the free Yahoo Mail Service or 20 MB per message for Yahoo Mail Plus.
