Build and review your triggers and actions before launching automation.
The Editor is where you set the foundation for your workflow. It's your space to build, customize, and preview automation logic before going live.
What Is the Editor?
The Editor is the central workspace for designing your workflow. Here, you can:
-
Add Triggers that start your workflow (e.g., when a new contact is added to a list)
-
Add Actions that follow the trigger (e.g., send an email, assign a tag)
-
Customize the logic and timing of each step
You can access the Editor while your workflow is in Draft mode.
Building Your Workflow (Draft Mode)
Before activating your workflow, you can freely:
-
Add or remove triggers and actions
-
Edit timing, messaging, and conditions
-
Reorder steps to fine-tune the logic
How to Access:
-
Navigate to the Workflows tab.
-
Click the name of the workflow you want to build or edit.
-
Click on the Editor tab on your left-hand side.
-
Start building your automation sequence.
Tip: Use clear naming and structured actions to keep your workflow easy to understand and troubleshoot later.
After Activation: Read-Only Mode
Once you activate a workflow, the Editor becomes read-only. This ensures automation runs consistently without midstream changes.
In this mode, you can:
-
Review all triggers and actions
-
Audit the structure for reference or duplication
-
Clone the workflow if you need to make adjustments
You cannot:
-
Add, remove, or edit any steps
-
Change trigger conditions or action settings
Need to Make Changes After Activation?
Since active workflows are locked, you have two options:
-
-
Temporarily stops automation
-
Allows you to resume later, but does not unlock editing
-
-
-
Creates an editable copy
-
Ideal if you need to tweak the flow while keeping the original intact
