How to create a custom designed direct mail mailer to use with Invelo marketing campaigns

A key part of any real estate investor's strategy is marketing to prospects and leads. By creating personalized, targeted messages, tailored to your audience’s specific needs and interests, you can establish yourself as a trusted and credible investor.

To increase personalization and make your mailer stand out, Invelo gives you the ability to create custom designed direct mail templates for personal letters, professional letters and postcards.

Preparing a custom design

Before submitting a custom design, you will need to gather all the information that will be included in your template. You will need to:

  • Decide font type and name of font.

  • Specify any colors that will be used with font, images or on the mailer.

  • Provide images including logo, headshots, or other graphics.

    • The image files should be high resolution and not too small or too large.

  • Write complete copy for the message on your mailer.

    • Be sure to spell check and include all applicable information like a call back number, your email or website.

       

*Pro tip! It is helpful to provide a mockup of your design. You can use tools like Canva to create a rough outline of your postcard or letter. This will decrease revisions and improve your final version.

Submitting a custom design direct mail template

  • Navigate to the top right menu and click Marketing Settings

  • Click Custom Templates and Add Template

  • Fill out the required fields in the submission modal for:

    • Template Name

      • This will be the permanent name of your template and cannot be changed.

    • Mailer Type

      • There are three available mailer types for custom designs:
        Personal Letters, Professional Letters and Postcards.

    • Upload Design Files

      • Include as many support files as needed for the design team to create your template.

      • File types supported include .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .pdf, .doc, & .docx.

    • Email

      • This email will be used to communicate about your proof, revisions and final design. You will receive email communication from designs@inveloapp.com.

    • Comments

      • Use this section to specify any details the design team will need to create your custom template. You may also use this space to explain the uploaded files.

    • *We highly recommend including a video URL explaining all of the details for your custom design, but it is not required for submission. Loom is a free and easy to use recording tool.

  • Click Pay Now and Submit
    • Custom direct mail templates cost $99.00, which includes three revisions and your final design. You will need to have enough funds in your wallet to submit your design request.

    • If you have an existing design with Invelo's sister company, Open Letter Marketing, please reach out to Invelo's customer support team at support@inveloapp.com.

  • You can view your submission details by clicking the pending custom template.

    • You will not be able to edit any of the submitted information. Notice the status is Pending. Once you approve the proof from the design team, the status will change to Approved.


Revisions and final design

Invelo allows three revisions for each custom direct mail template. Within 2 business days of submission, you will receive an email from Invelo's design team with a proof based on the information provided. If revisions are need, please include all changes in your response and be as specific as possible. Again, we recommend using Loom to send feedback for any changes.

Once you approve your proof, your final custom designed template will be accessible in your Invelo account, and you can include the approved template in new marketing campaigns.
